Education Phase

Education Phase is first phase of the contest that starts on 4th January, 2017 and lasts till start of AppIdea Contest on 4th April, 2017. Education Phase is consists on several seminars/webinars on social concerns related to sustainable development goals – problem identification; and system application development – technical overview. AppIdea2R Ambassadors (Campus Correspondents of Technology Times) will help students to organize technical workshops and lectures in their universities throughout the ECO region.

AppIdea2R Phase I – App Idea

AppIdea Contest Phase will start on 4th January, 2017 and lasts till 25th May 2017. In this phase students will online register their App Development Idea according to objectives of the Contest. All ideas will be evaluated and shortlisted for 30-120 sec video presentation. Top ‘X’ Ideas will be selected for next phase (app development). App Idea winners will be selected at this stage; and will be announced online on 30th June, 2017.

AppIdea2R Phase II – App Development

Online team registration (max 05 persons) for Development stage will start on 7th July 2017 and last till 10th September, 2017 for ECO countries only. Contest will open on 07th July, 2017 to 10th September, 2017 for registered teams only on top ‘X’ ideas from Phase I. Online mentoring will be provided to the registered teams. Registered teams will select their task (Idea) from given list of ‘X’ Ideas of Phase I on first come first serve basis and will submit their apps and other necessary attachments online. Judgment will start on 11th September, 2017 and last to 28th September, 2017. Judges will interact online with every team. Winners will be announced on 2nd October, 2017 based on the above mentioned criteria of innovation, business value, user experience, and presentation.

AppIdea2R Contest Ceremony

Prize distribution ceremony will held on 16th November, 2017 at Islamabad, Pakistan.

Winners will be invited in final ceremony on 16th November, 2017, other contestants can participate at their own.
